Educational Aims of the Course
The aim of the programme is to enable students to produce a masters level dissertation with a specific focus on law enforcement and public service provision. The case study will investigate a complex and strategic work based leadership issue putting into practice the skills and knowledge gained over the duration of the programme and applying concepts from wider leadership and management literature.

Teaching, Learning and Assessment
This programme aims to enable students to produce a masters level dissertation specifically related to leadership in public service and law enforcement.
Learners will be supported by a series of face to face workshops on applied research as they develop their research project. They will also meet 1:1's with a subject matter expert to undertake regular dissertation supervision meetings.
During the programme formative feedback, which supports the summative assessments, is on-going both within and outside formal sessions.

Approved variance from Academic Framework Regulations
This programme has a variance to allow for no research methods module and for Module 7009LBSSLA to require that both assessment components need to be passed in order to obtain an overall pass mark on the module.
