Educational Aims of the Course
This programme is for Apprenticeship students. To provide students with an international, national and local understanding and appreciation of the professional discipline of Quantity Surveying and the role it has within the Architecture, Engineering and Construction sector. They will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the underlying concepts and principles associated with Quantity Surveying and an ability to evaluate and interpret these within the context of that area of study. Also to demonstrate an ability to present, evaluate and interpret qualitative and quantitative data, in order to develop lines of argument and make sound judgements in accordance with basic theories and concepts on Quantity Surveying.

Teaching, Learning and Assessment
Teaching sessions include lectures and tutorials; workshop sessions in a classroom, PC-lab; off-site learning and participation in group work. Assessment methods include examinations; written essays and reports; oral presentations; preparation of posters; visual designs using bespoke software.
