Educational Aims of the Course

This innovative module aims to equip the Advanced Practitioner with the knowledge and understanding of the processes involved in clinical decision making which places patients and service users at the centre of care.

Learning Outcomes

Critically appraise the main decision making theories that contribute to safe clinical judgment and allows the practitioner to support their practice
2.
Demonstrate awareness of professional, legal and ethical issues in complex decision making
3.
Synthesise clinical decisions by drawing upon theoretical principles, including individual practical experience.
