Learning Outcomes
Teaching, Learning and Assessment
The programme incorporates an active blended approach to Learning, defined as learning which is characterised by students having both cognitive and social presence in the learning environment (LJMU). The approach is facilitated through a combination of face-to-face and online directed learning methods. Directed learning will support face-to-face delivery and will enable students to continue to interact with their module teaching team, fellow students and relevant learning materials to continue their facilitated learning.
Teaching will use the digital infrastructure to support student learning and wider student experience. Technology will be used throughout all stages of the student learning experience to enhance learning and assessment.
The programme assessment strategy uses formative alongside a summative assessment method to enable the student to demonstrate their skills and knowledge aligned to the module learning outcomes. The assessment tasks are meaningful to students and offer appropriate preparation for professional development, as it is important assessment connects to reflexivity, evidence-based practice and consideration of ‘real-life’ situations.
