Educational Aims of the Course

Enable students to develop further skills in safe and effective rehabilitation.
Equip students to deliver high quality rehabilitation within a Multi-Disciplinary Context

Learning Outcomes

1.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge and understanding of the ethos of rehabilitation and multidisciplinary team working to enhance patient outcomes in complex rehabilitation.
2.
Critically reflect on personal knowledge and skills in rehabilitation in order to develop higher level skills and knowledge.
3.
Critically discuss the role of the multi-disciplinary team in complex rehabilitation
4.
Critically analyse current research and evidence bases within complex rehabilitation

Teaching, Learning and Assessment

This collaborative module will be delivered predominantly by the multi-disciplinary
team from the Cheshire and Merseyside Rehabilitation Network. Teaching on the module is via lectures, tutorials, seminars, practical demonstrations, group discussions. This is a single module CPD which will be delivered full time over one semester. The programme outcomes have been informed by the British Society of
Rehabilitation Medicine Standards for Rehabilitation Services Mapped to the
National Service Framework.
The course team have taken account of the Core Standards for Specialist
Rehabilitation produced by the British Society of Rehabilitation Medicine.
