Educational Aims of the Course

This module aims to make students aware of competing accounts of the Criminal Justice System in England and Wales. The core objective of the module is to engage students with the theory and practice of ‘criminal justice’ on both a local and national level. Through practical exercises and first-hand testimonies we will explore the strengths, limitations and future of the Criminal Justice System in England and Wales.

Explore the role and function of key criminal justice agencies in England and Wales.

Critically appraise the delivery of ‘justice’ in England and Wales.

Presentation: 90% weighting, MLO1, MLO2 & MLO3
