To critically appraise research methodology, design and methods for their appropriateness to the area of enquiry.

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:
Students will engage with the principles, theory and practice of: Research philosophies, Research approaches, Research design, Research planning, Quantitative research, Qualitative research, Mixed methods research, Insider research, Research ethics, Data collection methods.
Module Overview:
This module is structured to enable students to critically evaluate the suitability of research methodologies, designs, and methods within their specific area of inquiry. By doing so, students will gain the skills and confidence to construct a comprehensive methodology section that plays a pivotal role in their final thesis submission.
Additional Information:
This module is designed to equip students with the skills and confidence to develop and complete an extensive methodology section, that will eventually contribute to the final thesis submission.
