Aims
The aim of this module is for professional doctorate students to show their ability to critically analyse, and reflect on that development and the decisions and choices that they have made during the thesis to become reflexive practitioners.
Learning Outcomes
1.
Conduct an oral defence of their work, demonstrating philosophical underpinning, ownership, synthesis, reflection and understanding commensurate with mature and safe independent practice.
2.
Conduct ethically sound activity in the Policing, Security and Criminal Justice sector at professional practice level.
3.
Reflect on their skills, practice and professional development.
Module Content
Outline Syllabus:This module involves support for professional skills reporting in the form of a report and a viva voce. Students will be engaged in supervision that will support the synthesis of their professional development. They will provide a reflective chapter which compromises of how their thesis has improved their professional practice.

This is the final module on the programme. It is intended to prepare you for your future by closing the loop on your training, reflecting on your original plan and your experiences as well as looking toward your future practice. The module aims to demonstrate your ability to critically analyse, and reflect on that development and the decisions and choices that you have made during the thesis to become reflexive practitioners.

Additional Information:This is the final module on the DProf Policing, Security and Criminal Justice programme. It is intended to prepare trainees for their future by closing the loop on their training, reflecting back on their original plan, and on their experiences as well as looking toward their future practice. The assessment will be the final chapter in the thesis and the supervision referred to, is between the supervisor and the student.
