Aims

The aim of this module is to allow costume makers to be instructed in, practice and apply a range of industry standard costume specific pattern cutting and construction techniques.

Learning Outcomes

Demonstrate aptitude in a range of industry standard costume making techniques.

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:
This module will focus on the development of the core pattern cutting and costume making techniques necessary for successful completion of future modules and professional development requirements.
Module Overview:
This module will enable reflection on prior knowledge and identification of individual professional development needs by investigating, applying and improving on various standard costume industry methods.

A range of costume specific pattern cutting and construction techniques will be demonstrated, providing students with the opportunity to create a portfolio of samples and gain an understanding of their applications.
