Module Content

Outline Syllabus:A lecture series develops knowledge of urban design theory to an advanced level beyond that acquired in Urban Design Project 1. A workshop abroad or local alternative is organised early in the project, following a period of initial research and analysis. As advanced Masters level work students are self-directed to produce project work in relation to a series of key design review dates established within the module. All the design work is supported by a structured series of tutorials and seminars. A period of time is allocated for the completion of the Project Report in the later stages of the module.
Module Overview:
In this module you will develop ideas suggested in 7211MAR and expand them into a comprehensive Urban Design strategy for a transect of the city. Your Urban Designs will go onto to provide the context for your thesis research and eventual project design drawing together the various strands of Architecture into a wider thesis year.
