Aims
This module aims to develop students’ clinical practice and facilitate their engagement with self-directed learning to promote an ethos of life-long learning.
Learning Outcomes
1.
Critically reflect on their overall practice development and recognise the limits of their competence
2.
Manage their own self-directed learning to enable them to keep-up-to-date by identifiyng development needs and addressing feedback
3.
Evaluate their own role and that of other healthcare team members in supporting the healthcare agenda
4.
Assess the usefulness of information sources and critically appraise published evidence to address practice-based dilemas

Additional Information:
The majority of this module involves work-based training under the guidance of a Practice-based tutor (PBT), following a prescribed schedule. The student and PBT are also supported by the Clinical Liaison Tutor team.
