Aims

1. To further develop students’ creative voices. 2. To further develop students’ understanding of screenwriting. techniques based on theoretical analysis of existing work and craft texts. 3. To reflect upon their own creative process in relation to screenwriting theory. 4. Rewrite the TV Pilot script.

Learning Outcomes

1.
Produce an original screenplay (TV Pilot) that demonstrates a deep and systematic understanding of the screenwriting medium and displays mastery of advanced screenwriting skills.
2.
Autonomously implement and evaluate improvements using personal reflection to act on feedback demonstrating self-direction and originality in problem-solving.
3.
Synthesise ideas in innovative ways and generate solutions.
4.
Use personal reflection to analyse own creative process.

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:1. Individual tutorial sessions offer formative feedback and analyse creative process. 2. Self-directed, independent research and critical reflection. 3. Autonomously implement advanced screenwriting skills to problem-solve and rewrite screenplay.
Module Overview:
The module aims to further develop your creative voices. You will further develop students’ understanding of screenwriting techniques based on theoretical analysis of existing work and craft texts. You will reflect upon your own creative process in relation to screenwriting theory and develop the capacity and skills to rewrite the TV Pilot script.
Additional Information:Key employability skills are embedded throughout the module. These include: Analysis, problem solving & decision making, communication, ICT, planning & organisation and creativity and enterprise.
