Aims
To provide students with the skills and knowledge to solve complex pharmaceutical calculations taken from real clinical scenarios.
Learning Outcomes

Demonstrate the ability to solve complex pharmaceutical calculations applicable to realistic clinical scenarios.

Identify and articulate the strategy to solve pharmaceutical calculations with appropriate level of challenge for a foundation year pharmacist.
3.
Use calculation skills to engage with various clinical scenarios.

This module is solely for assessment and this assessment focuses on student ability to accurately perform calculations.

Additional Information:
This module is for summative assessment only. All learning, formative assessment and feedback for this assessment are included in the content module 7000MPHARM, underpinned by learning from 6000MPHARM, 5000MPHARM and 4000MPHARM.
To ensure the programme aligns to the GPhC commitment to patient safety, any serious concerns that are identified within the assessment will be reviewed by a panel of pharmacists. If the concern raised is deemed to pose a risk to patient safety, the student will FAIL the assessment, even if they have achieved the required pass score.
Students must be successful in the module to progress to the next level of study.
