Aims

1) To give students the ability to reappraise their own work 2) To enrich students with screenwriting concepts to develop their TV series 3) For students to write industry level script reports on peers’ creative work 4) To rework, redevelop, strengthen ideas, concepts and writing of original material 5) To further develop the ability to write an original and exciting treatment

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:1. Peer critique workshops 2. Develop layout and presentation skills 3. Ability to both offer and receive appraisal and critique constructively 4. Further develop storytelling abilities and skills 5. Gain further insight into outlining feature length work
Module Overview:
This module aims to provide you with the skills necessary to reappraise your own work. It:
  • introduces you to the screenwriting concepts required to write a second draft
  • enables you to write industry-level script and reports on peers creative work
  • enables you to rework, redevelop, strengthen ideas, concepts and writing of original material
Additional Information:The module will be a mixture of seminars and workshops. There will be an emphasis on students giving constructive feedback on peers work. Emphasis will be on rewriting and giving students the tools to enrich, and give their work a greater layer of sophistication. Students who have gained a first class in 7021SW Ongoing Narrative will be required to further develop their TV series.
