Module Content

Outline Syllabus:With tutorial support students will produce a long-form documentary based upon in-depth original research on a media platform negotiated with teaching staff. A reflective commentary will demonstrate in-depth understanding of the whole production process, review the research methods employed and evaluate the completed artefact within the context of contemporary documentary production.
Module Overview:
With tutorial support you will produce a long-form documentary based upon in-depth original research on a media platform negotiated with your supervisor.
Additional Information:The Documentary Project module is designed to allow students to demonstrate mastery of story-telling within their chosen subject area, by the production of a long-form documentary on a media platform of their choice, which they have driven and managed, including all relevant research. This is a core module in which students produce a documentary artefact as their final masters project. A reflective commentary detailing the intellectual effort and perspective involved in the production of the final documentary artefact will form the written element to the award.
