Aims
to develop an independent academically rigorous research project using primary research methods, with a methodology and full literature review, culminating in a critical analytical discussion drawing out further areas for exploration, potential new theoretical contributions to their chosen subject, and recommendations for future academic research in their chosen area.
Learning Outcomes
1.
produce a rigorous piece of primary research in a human resource related area.
2.
decide an appropriate methodology to test hypotheses
3.
critically compare theory drawn from academic contribution in the literature review and student's own primary research.
4.
develop a discussion in which it is expected that students draw out the contradictions, nuances and tensions between theory and practice; culminating in developing new theoretical contributions and speculating on areas for future research.
Module Content
Outline Syllabus:action research workshop style groups covering: aims, research objectives, literature reviews, methods, methodology, critical analysis and discussion, areas for future research and development.

This module aims to develop an independent, academically rigorous research project using primary research methods, with a methodology and full literature review. Additional Information:the workshops cover the basics of how to become a proficient researcher, testing out group members' hypotheses and bringing in current theory and academic contribution.
