Aims

Additionally, the aim of the module is to consolidate and integrate knowledge and skills acquired in other modules in year 1 and year 2 of the programme. As such, it will share many of the same intended learning outcomes with these Modules. This is a consolidation module, and so refers to prior learning aims foundation for proposed changes to policing workplace practice.

Learning Outcomes

With reference to contemporary theories, demonstrate an understanding of complex leadership issues that include resource, finance and risk factors

Critically reflect on personal leadership skills, demonstrating continual improvement which outlines key targets for future development

Critically analyse team performance, demonstrating implementation of evidence-based practice

Drawing on context-specific data, critically evaluate the interplay of factors and decision-making issues that influence organisational effectiveness, and through the use of stakeholder engagement strategies, articulate current and future plans

Critically assess ethical factors in police leadership. Inclusive workplace culture, diversity, succession planning

Module Overview:
The aim of this module is to consolidate and integrate knowledge and skills acquired in the modules undertaken in years one and two of the programme. Learners will be expected to demonstrate how the learning they have undertaken has been applied within their public service workplace and, through the means of a scoping document, plan for implementation of strategic level policy within their law enforcement organisation.
