Aims
To understand how supply chain strategic objectives can be achieved through and impacted upon economic, regulatory, environmental and social aspects in the decision-making process. Consider strategic future challenges in supply chain, procurement and logistics in order to be agile and manage challenges within this field. Critically reflect upon leadership and management of ethical and sustainable practices, standards and regulations that impact on the supply chain and logistics sector.
Learning Outcomes
1.
Interpret the key considerations involved in sustainable sourcing, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and performance measurement, highlighting the impact on supply chain sustainability.
2.
Apply critical thinking skills to analyse contemporary issues that extend beyond compliance with standards, identifying how these issues shape supply chain strategies and drive organizations towards a more committed and ethical approach to sustainability.
3.
Design and evaluate a comprehensive and practical sustainable supply chain strategy, incorporating relevant technologies to support and enhance sustainability initiatives and considering the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed strategy.
4.
Critically reflect upon ethical and sustainable leadership positioning ones own values in relation to organisational strategic vision and values.

Outline Syllabus:
- Use supply chain strategy and planning tools to consider the relationship between strategy, operation and internal and external stakeholders and environmental factors
- Identify what sustainability is and how it impacts upon and influences the supply chain
- Explore policies and regulations that impact upon the supply chain
- Consider future challenges within the supply chain, logistics and procurement sector
- Reflect upon personal and professional values and how they link to strategic and operational aims
