Aims
To introduce students to the fundamental principles and key theories within social and developmental psychology and how these relate to an educational context and academic functioning.
Learning Outcomes

To outline the role of individual differences in relation to the classroom and educational context.

To critically evaluate key and seminal individual differences theories and research in relation to the classroom and education.

To synthesise, discuss and apply the application of individual differences and learning theories to the education context and classroom.

This module addresses the core curricular areas of learning and individual differences. In this module we consider how humans learn and individual differences between us as individuals and how both of these concepts relate to the educational context and academic functioning. The module will introduce the broad topic areas and then cover specific themes with links and examples made to the educational context and academic functioning.
