Aims
1. To enable the integration of learning and professional/personal development that has occurred during the study of the MSc in Advanced Clinical practice, exploring and identifying advanced clinical practice within the context of midwifery. 2. To enable the apprentice to critically debate and reflect upon their transition into advanced clinical practice
Learning Outcomes
1.
Critically reflect on their role transition towards advanced clinical practice through personal, professional and academic development recognising their level of autonomy
2.
Demonstrate leadership, collaboration and employ risk management strategies in contexts that are challenging, complex and/or unpredictable.
3.
Critically evaluate how their advanced clinical practice role can improve health outcomes within clinical settings.
4.
Demonstrate advanced interpersonal skills including those of negotiation, referral, consultation, case presentation and education.

Module Overview:
This module focuses on integrating learning and personal/professional development from the MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice within the context of midwifery. It also encourages critical reflection on the transition to advanced clinical practice and includes topics like presentation skills, case studies, exams, reports, and reflection.

Additional Information:
Apprentices will be supported to undertake their EPA through individual and group tutorials and resources on the VLE. The assessment methods are set by the apprenticeship standard for Advanced Clinical Practice. Apprentices must pass through the EPA Gateway in order to undertake their EPA. Apprentices have 3 months from passing through the EPA gateway within which to undertake their EPA. Assessments will be graded by an appointed external assessor and moderated by an internal assessor not connected to the programme.
