Aims

This module will prepare students to plan and evaluate complex care delivery within the context of Mental Health Nursing. This will include understanding how to support patients, and families, at the end of their life. This module will further support students to develop a conceptual understanding of complex care delivery within Mental Health Nursing.

Evidence-based end of life care (4.9)

Supporting commonly encountered mental health, behavioural, cognitive and learning challenges (NMC 4.4)

Human and environmental factors and team working (NMC 5.2)

Monitoring and reviewing care (NMC 5.7)

Co-morbidities and complex care (NMC 7.5)

Understanding the complexities of providing mental, cognitive, behavioural and physical care services (NMC 7.6)

Module Overview:
This module will prepare students to plan and evaluate complex care delivery within the context of Mental Health Nursing. This will include developing an understanding of  how to support patients, and families, at the end of life. This module will further support students to develop a conceptual understanding of complex care delivery within Mental Health Nursing.
