Aims
To develop problem-solving skills within a construction environment, including the processes and strategies undertaken by project managers to define, plan control and deliver project requirements.
Learning Outcomes
1.
Critically review the project life-cycle phases, processes, tools and techniques and the broader environment in which projects take place.
2.
Evaluate the relationship between change management and project management
and be able to establish a change management process.
3.
Critically appraise key project evaluation monitoring and control techniques in the built environment and their importance in bringing projects to successful completion.
4.
Evaluate current issues in construction and describe alternative strategies to achieve the required outcomes.

Outline Syllabus:The module will initially provide a broad overview of the make-up of a project within
the built environment.
