Aims

This module presents you with industry equivalent scenarios that test your ability to meet the expectations of large-scale live production processes.

Your collaborative skills, time-management and creativity will be challenged in working with a director, designers, stage managers and technical crew.

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:
This module provides the opportunity to experience a full-time industry equivalent rehearsal process and public performance.
Your actor’s process will be honed as you
• undertake independent research
• undergo costume and wardrobe fittings
• engage in creative rehearsals with cast and director
• collaborate with other creatives, technicians and crew in technical rehearsals
• demonstrate your ability to reprise and develop performance to public audiences.

Following this process, you will reflect on the experience to identify strengths and highlight areas for improvement.
Module Overview:
In this module you will work with professional theatre-makers, including students from other courses, to realise an original live multi-media public production. You will experience industry equivalent expectations, working independently to research and prepare for the rehearsal process and to collaborate with your director and creative team. You will exercise your ability to reprise and develop your work in rehearsal whilst managing workloads effectively.
