Aims
This module aims to provide you with an industry equivalent scenario in which to test your screen actor’s processes.
In collaborating on and performing in a series of short films, this module presents a continuation and development of the challenges of screen work, contextualised within wider collaborative production practices.
This module provides an industry equivalent experience of independent film production as you take short film from story concept to picture lock.
Module Content
Outline Syllabus:
This module provides the opportunity to engage with an in-depth filmmaking production process to broadcast standard, including pre-and post-production processes.
Your actor’s performance skills will be extended as you also engage in
• script development
• contextual research
• location scouting
• production planning
• location shooting
• production support
• post-production and ADR
You will analyse and evaluate this process, interpreting the production and your performance to measure its successes and areas for improvement in a format of your choice.

You will reach professional standards and expectations, working independently to research and prepare for the production process and meet the vision of your director and creative team. You will exercise your ability to demonstrate technical aptitude, professionalism, organisation, and time management skills.
