Formally structured and assessed ballet/contemporary class

The module is designed to deliver advanced professional level technical dance skills in the two areas of Ballet and Contemporary dance. Throughout the year students have regular classes each week in which they further develop and enhance their technical and creative dance skills. Particularly the module build on the students studies at level 5 and is focused on enhancing: Precision, Technical Accuracy, Expression and Artistry, Professional Practice, and Creativity.
In addition to technique classes students also work on and perform a range of ballet and contemporary dance repertoire. The repertoire is chosen and delivered specifically to: 
-Develop the students&#39; knowledge of current dance practice / repertoire
-Further develop the students&#39; knowledge of contemporary professional performing arts practice -Challenge them artistically and technically

Some of the repertoire will be developed with visiting professional artists and choreographers.
