Aims

The aim of this module is to allow students to consolidate their practical skills, knowledge and understanding in the planning, execution and delivery of a range of work that matches professional standards and practice.

Learning Outcomes

1.
Produce a range of audio-related products to a standard comparable with similar professional products
2.
Relate production values from extant material to their own work in an innovative rather than purely derivative fashion
3.
Critically analyse their own work in relation to comparable professional products
4.
Work with/for external agencies or clients in a professional manner on a distinct project or specific elements of a project
5.
Critically evaluate the planning and execution of a project, and relate this to the project outcome
6.
Develop a realistic working production schedule and work to this schedule to a given deadline.

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:As the majority of student learning activity is self-directed, taught syllabus is minimal. However, in order to provide an overarching structure to the module, there are a number of taught sessions covering the following areas: Initial Briefing and Project Proposals Project Planning and Logistics Developing a Learning Contract Analysis and Presentation - these seminar sessions will review the objectives of the written / presentation component of the assessment, and support students in developing this.
