Aims
To develop students’ understanding of the strategic importance of Operations Management in manufacturing and to equip students with the knowledge and skills to enhance manufacturing operations.
Learning Outcomes
1.
Demonstrate an understanding of the role of operations management both at a strategic level and for the effective production of goods and services and apply this in the context of engineering scenarios.

Critically apply the various tools of operations management
3.
Evaluate the contribution of Operations to wider aspects of manufacturing firms’ capabilities and competencies
