Aims
1.To enable students to gain a work-based or work-related learning experience
2.To enable students to identify the links between their degree and employability
3. To support students to identify, enhance, and deploy transferable skills and abilities relevant to the workplace.

Module Content
Outline Syllabus:
This module enables students to gain a work-based or work-related learning experience. This experience will be
provided by organisations that might include, but are not restricted to, heritage and cultural partners, small and
medium enterprises in the Liverpool metropolitan region, and LJMU libraries and archives. Bespoke training will be
offered depending on the placements and their proposed outputs, including sessions run in conjunction with Student
Futures and Skills@LJMU. There may be field visits to relevant sites as part of the preparatory work. Upon
completion of the module, students will have received valuable training and experience, reflected critically on the
development of skills, will be able to articulate that experience on a CV, cover letter, and on a profile on the platform
LinkedIn, and produced a project report.

There are no academic pre-requisites although students will be interviewed prior to the start of the module to
assess their suitability for the project and will remain in close contact with their respective partner and lead
academic link
