Aims
The module aims to develop students understanding of the legislative and policy framework which sets out the parameters of multi-agency working arrangements across the sector.
Provide an opportunity for students to critically explore the range of regulatory processes and professional values which inform practice, theories of team work, issues of professional status and power and working across organisational boundaries.
Provide an opportunity for students, from different disciplinary backgrounds, to work across disciplinary boundaries and gain experience, through work related learning using 'real life' case studies, of the complexities of multi-agency working.
Learning Outcomes
1.
State key theoretical philosophical, political, legislative, organisational, policy and practice frameworks which underpin multi agency and partnership working.
2.
Critically evaluate the effectiveness of partnership and multi-agency working in achieving desired results and be able to identify, and critically appraise, barriers to effectiveness, and strategies to overcome them.
3.
Identify the opportunities and challenges presented by multi agency and partnership working in one area of the sector with particular reference to the social impact for diverse and/or vulnerable communities.

Module Overview:
