Aims

1. To develop students' skills in planning and project management, including budgeting, scheduling, time-management, project delivery and evaluation.
2. To develop students' confidence and skills in leadership and mobilizing others, written and verbal communication, team-working and collaboration.
3. To foster students' understanding of the social, cultural, political and economic importance and relevance of participatory creative projects.
4. To develop students' skills in research, analytical and reflective writing and evaluation.

Learning Outcomes

Demonstrate the ability to research, cost and plan a participatory project.

Demonstrate the application of project management skills, persistence and adaptability in leading, delivering, trouble-shooting and evaluating the project.
3.
Demonstrate an understanding of the social, cultural, political and/or economic relevance of participatory creative projects.
4.
Demonstrate the ability to research, plan and write a clearly structured, fully referenced reflective and analytical project report or appropriate research essay.

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:
Building on the knowledge of the creative industries and students' own reflections on their skills, values and career aspirations, this module will provide structured support for students to plan, deliver, and evaluate a project, working with other people as participants and involving creative writing. Students will be supported to produce a detailed plan for their project (including costings where appropriate), and then supported to deliver the project and to write up their findings in a final report. The module sessions will be a mix of whole-class activities, small group work, and individual tutorials.
Module Overview:
This module builds on key employability skills providing a work-based learningopportunity whilst also continuing to develop students' skill sin research andanalytical writing suitable for postgraduate study.
