Aims

To provide an opportunity for student groups to produce a short film production

To develop advanced technical skills associated with either fiction or non-fiction filmmaking

To provide an opportunity for students to develop appropriate working practices associated with small film production groups

Learning Outcomes

Employ cinematography, sound and editing techniques associated with short film production.

Develop and apply skills within a specific production role as part of a small film unit.

Develop skills associated with marketing short film productions.

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:
Develop technical skills associated with short film production. Be introduced to the advanced principles of cinematography, sound and editing skills associated with documentary and fiction filmmaking. Develop skills associated with specific production roles within a small film production unit.

 
Module Overview:
In this module you will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience of some of the technical equipment required for short video production at an advanced level with either fiction or non-fiction filmmaking.
Additional Information:
Students will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience of some of the technical equipment required for short video production at an advanced level. Students will be encouraged to focus on either fiction filmmaking or documentary production.
