Develop pre-production and planning skills for fiction, documentary, and experimental film.
Develop creative and craft skills.
Develop shooting script.
To demonstrate how to compile a film proposal portfolio.
To explain how films are commonly pitched to a film industry audience.

Module Content
Outline Syllabus:
This module gives the students the opportunity to engage with the process of rigorous pre-production planning. They will be offered the choice to specialise in either documentary, fiction or experimental film pre-production techniques and become acquainted with film proposal and pitching requirements as currently employed in industrial practice.

Module Overview:
This module gives the students an opportunity to develop their understanding of pre-production skills and practice applied to film making. It enables students to develop an ability to understand and reflect constructively on the pre-production process for independent film production.

· Time and crisis management
· Staff and Freelancer Contracts/Insurances & health & safety responsibilities.
