Aims
This module provides the technical and management aspects of vehicle systems design focusing a design of components and parts, design of the assembly process and related knowledge areas. In addition, it emphasizes of the design of engines and engine performance, design of other automotive systems and accessories. The module also aims the strategic management function in automobile design and development process and expected to use standard management tools in decision making in the design process.
Learning Outcomes
1.
Explain the fundamentals of automotive engineering and design principles
2.
Develop students' skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork through hands-on projects and case studies
3.
Developing an understanding on system integration, and functioning, analysis and simulation of engineering design
4.
Consider the design, analysis, and optimization of automotive systems
