Aims
To provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and theories of leadership and motivation, and their application within the context of a business environment.
This module will also provide students with the skills required to build and develop teams, in order to help a business in achieving its objectives in a challenging environment, develop and improve critical thinking through the application of these theories and conceptual frameworks and introduce and consider leadership styles and behaviours.
Learning Outcomes

Critically evaluate key principles and concepts of organisational leadership and its influence on team development

Evaluate the influence of effective and ineffective leadership on team behaviour and business performance
3.
Develop effective, professional written communication skills and application of a range of analytical tools
4.
Analyse specific leadership styles within the context of different situations and assess the impact on motivation and team development
