Aims
To give non-economists a context for the debate around taxation and public spending.
To evaluate recent UK policy toward the public sector.
To contextualise UK business in long term economic change.
Learning Outcomes

Compare the debate amongst economists around the purpose and size of the state.

Evaluate the UK's long term economic development (1900-2000).

Summarise the causes of the UK’s relative economic decline.
