Aims
This practice based module will enable students to further consider, explore and examine the skills, knowledge and attributes to become an effective and reflective practitioner within their chosen sector. This module is the vehicle at Level 5 where work/placement activities are reviewed and reflected upon in the context of the whole Foundation Degree and where they will continue to demonstrate their knowledge, understanding and ability to meet professional behaviour as they carry out a specific work-related task

Module Content
Outline Syllabus:Each work-based learning experience will be unique and hence no prescription is given here. Each employment opportunity will however require formal approval from the tutor prior to the commencement of the module. The minimum requirement is that the student will either be working or undertaking a voluntary placement in an appropriate role.
Key classroom activities will be focused on:
• Understanding the module
• Review of portfolio building and the principles of reflective practice
• Principles of negotiated work based learning
• Identification of the task(s) / project to be carried out in the workplace – in agreement with the tutor and the employer
• Work based professional competencies
• Dealing with difficulties
• Interim progress reports
• Planning of employment and career progression
