Aims
The aim of this module is to further develop student's understanding of the research process and provide them with an overview of differing research designs and methodologies. In the first half of the module there will be a specific focus on quantitative research, whilst in the second half of the module students will start to develop their own individual Research Proposal. This will require students to work independently to identify an area of research that they would like to conduct a research project in and subsequently find relevant literature within that field to help inform and guide their Research Proposal.

Module Overview:
This module will develop your understanding of a range of research methodologies and methods typically used within social science research. You will create a research project proposal that will prepare you for further research study in your final year.

Additional Information:The module will enable students to further develop their academic and research-based skills, knowledge and experience. The module will start students on the process of research design in preparation for their Level six Dissertation Project.
