Aims

1. To critically investigate practices appropriate to the fashion and creative industries.

2. To support independent creative research methods that incorporate diverse cultural perspectives.

3. To explore and develop an understanding that reflects identified contemporary audiences through a body of work.

4. To creatively explore relevant and appropriate materials, processes and medias in developing work.

5. To recognise the importance of roles within creative teams by providing opportunities for teamwork, reflective of industry practice.

Learning Outcomes

Show evidence of appropriate research, analysis and their effective application to personalised contemporary fashion practice.

Demonstrate an independent creative approach and critical analysis in the development of ideas and concepts that acknowledge diverse cultural perspectives.

Formulate and visually communicate a range of conceptual approaches to apply and justify chosen methods of creative presentation.

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:Students will be taught through a programme of one to one tutorials, group critiques / activities / seminars / lectures / Interaction within the Art School, learning resources, technical workshops and immediate location for research exploration and trials / fostering new learning styles and practices. Students will work with set themes and projects to cover a variety of outcomes.
Module Overview:
This module gives you the opportunity to build your own profile in your chosen specialist pathway identifying your strengths to continue to develop. You will produce a body of work in relationship to a customer profile and market level. You will explore new media and applications to build confidence in content and presentation awareness.
Additional Information:This module enables students to start to build their own profile in their chosen specialist pathway identifying their strengths and developing.
