Aims
The aim of this level 5 module is to develop your professional practice and scope of competencies in preparation to meet the competencies of the Nursing Associate role as guided by the NMC Standards of Proficiency for the Nursing Associate.
Learning Outcomes

Demonstrate the successful completion of NMC Part 2 proficiencies
2.
Demonstrate the ability to undertake a health numeracy assessment related to Nursing associate proficiencies and calculation of medicines which must be passed at 100%

Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (IfATE)
K1: Understand the Code: Professional standards of practice and behaviour for nurses, midwives and nursing associates (NMC, 2018), and how to fulfil all registration requirements
K2: Understand the demands of professional practice and demonstrate how to recognise signs of vulnerability in themselves or their colleagues and the action required to minimise risks to health
K5: Understand the meaning of resilience and emotional intelligence, and their influence on an individual’s ability to provide care
K7: Understand the importance of courage and transparency and apply the Duty of Candour
K19: Know how and when to escalate to the appropriate professional for expert help and advice
