Module Content
Outline Syllabus:
Students will critically engage with contemporary approaches to fine art practice with a focus on international contexts. The syllabus will respond to current exhibitions and events, exploring the relationship between art making and a wide range of opportunities and global contexts. It will increase students’ knowledge of the roles of a professional practicing artist through lectures and a programme of visiting lecturers. These will provide a basis from which students will be required to research more broadly and will encourage them to make advanced connections between the example studies and their own developing practice as artists. Students will also engage with seminars and workshops around research and self-reflexive writing skills.
