Aims
To introduce students to the theory and practice of print design.
To enable students to understand and practice the process of sub-editing and print production.
To introduce students to industry standard design software.
To equip students with the skills to create magazine and long-form magazine.
Learning Outcomes

Design attractive print pages with appropriate images.
2.
Edit copy accurately and write attractive and accurate headlines.
3.
Evidence competency in production processes in print including industry standard software such as Adobe InDesign.
4.
Write features to a particular brief and length and evaluate the work of print and online professionals.
Module Content
Outline Syllabus:An introduction to print design and typography theory and practice; choosing and using images; sub-editing and production; writing long-form content.

This module prepares you for the weekly production of magazines/newspapers in Level 6. It also introduces students to long-form writing for the web and print.
