To develop knowledge of the scientific principles applied in the preparation and analysis of cosmetic products.

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:An introduction to cosmetic products, types and classes. The scientific theory and underlying principles used in formulating and preparing a range of cosmetic products including: Liquids, creams, gels, shampoos, conditioners, perfumes, toothpastes, mouthwashes, powders, lipsticks. The application of testing procedures used in assessing the quality of cosmetic products including physical and thermo-analytical techniques.
Module Overview:
The aim of this module is to develop your knowledge of the scientific principles applied in the preparation and analysis of cosmetic products.
Additional Information:The module will build upon the level 4 modules: physical properties (4001PHASCI) and formulation science (4004PHASCI)
