Aims
This course will empower the students with the theoretical knowledge required to develop and support the clinical skills that they will be learning and utilising during the practice module and whilst on clinical placement.
Learning Outcomes

Discuss the theoretical basis of assessment, critical clinical decision-making and management and justify clinical decisions.
2.
Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology to paramedic practice.
3.
Critically analyse a clinical case through the utilisation of current under-pinning knowledge.

- Anatomy & physiology
- Pathophysiology of disease and illness
- Medical terminology
- Basic (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) across the age ranges
- Clinical skills application to practice
- ECG interpretation and recognition
- Obstetric and gynaecological emergencies
- Mental health conditions and patient management.
