Aims
The aim of this level 5 module is to develop your professional practice and scope of competencies in preparation to meet the competencies of the Nursing Associate role as guided by the NMC Standards of Proficiency for the Nursing Associate.
Learning Outcomes

Demonstrate the successful completion of NMC Part 2 proficiencies
2.
Demonstrate the ability to undertake a health numeracy assessment related to Nursing associate proficiencies and calculation of medicines which must be passed at 100%

Undertake Venepuncture & ECG Recording 1.3
undertake & interpret Neurological observations 1.8
support the delivery of artificial nutrition and hydration using oral and enteral routes. 4.4
Support with respiratory care & administer oxygen 7, 7.1
take and be able to identify normal peak flow and oximetry measurements 7.2
Use appropriate nasal & oral suctioning techniques 7.3
manage inhalation, humidifier, and nebuliser devices. 7.4
Administer injections via a range of routes, medications using enteral equipment and enemas & suppositories10. 5, 10.6, 10.7
undertake safe storage, transportation and disposal of medicinal products. 10.1
