Aims
To equip students with the knowledge, skills, and ethical understanding necessary to critically engage with research literature, design and conduct empirical research projects, and effectively apply research findings to inform evidence-based practice within the field of youth work.
Learning Outcomes

Module Overview:
This module links to the 'Professional Projects' enquiry where they apply skills into a work based environments and will provide students with a comprehensive understanding of action research in the context of youth work. It will explore the principles, methodologies, and ethical considerations of action research, and how it can be applied to address real-world challenges faced by young people. The module will also examine the role of reflective practice in action research, and how findings can be used to inform and improve youth work practice and policy. Through a combination of theoretical learning and practical application, students will develop the skills and knowledge necessary to conduct action research projects that contribute to positive change in the lives of young people.

Online Lectures:
Lectures will be pre-recorded and made available to students through the online learning platform. These lectures will cover key concepts, theories, and principles related to youth work, and will be supplemented with additional resources such as readings, videos, and case studies.

Seminars will be conducted live via video conferencing tools such. These sessions will provide students with the opportunity to discuss and debate key issues in youth work, facilitated by module tutors. Seminars may also include breakout group discussions and interactive activities.
