Aims

To develop team working, time management and project planning skills. To appreciate the roles of other disciplines in a collaborative project environment. To apply subject specific knowledge and skills in a multidisciplinary setting.

Learning Outcomes

Apply and finesse existing technical skills by application to a defined brief.

Employ interpersonal and communication skills in collaboration with technical and non-technical personnel.

Plan and implement appropriate technical solutions to support varying performance / production situations.

Analyse their contribution to a specific project in both technical and non-technical terms.

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:
Lexicon and roles of allied disciplines in production and performance; resource planning; critical path analysis; time management; typical technical solutions to generic project requirements.
Module Overview:
This module helps you develop collaboration, planning, time management and project specific technical skills by assigning you to work on one of arrange of practical projects, productions, or performances in LIPA. You will be working with a range of students from other disciplines and will work in pairs or small teams to apply your technical knowledge and skills to the needs of these events. You will be allocated a supervisor from the teaching team who will work with you to help plan and manage your roles, and to provide and bespoke technical instruction required.
