Aims
This module aims to provide you with an understanding of the interdisciplinary components of acting. You will begin to recognise the how acting techniques, the body and voice, can work together to generate creative performance possibilities. You will recognise preparation, process and the adoption of musical theatre techniques across live works.
Learning Outcomes

Module Content
Outline Syllabus:
This module allows you to investigate the interconnected disciplines of acting, singing, dance and movement within your performing techniques. You will test your discoveries across two different but linked projects. You will work with material from a range of historical and cultural origins from the musical theatre canon to test your theatricality and playfulness, as well as your ensemble company skills. In one project, you will work with contemporary musical theatre scenes into song to hone the integration of skills. The other project focuses on your application in legit musical theatre work, your ability to interpret this material and make the necessary technical adjustments to achieve a scene into song presentation.
