Aims

The aim of this module is to provide students with an overview of energy supply generation and distribution. The module will allow students to understand issues related to energy supply by fossil fuels and the drive for the transition to renewable energy and how energy systems interact. On completion of the module, students will be able to assess different approaches to supply energy and understand the requirements for distribution and infrastructure in energy supply.

Learning Outcomes

1.
Demonstrate an understanding of the sustainability aspects of energy supply
2.
Assess the availability and impact of fossil fuels in the energy supply
3.
Assess the availability and impact of renewable energies in the energy supply
4.
Evaluate the interactions between different energy supplies and its distribution
