Aims
The module aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to perform applied research of sufficient quality and rigour to make a valuable contribution to the academic field. Students will study both the conceptual issues and practical considerations through the entire process of research.
Learning Outcomes

Identify characteristics of qualitative and quantitative research methods
2.
Demonstrate a conceptual knowledge of the research process
3.
Apply a systematic approach to the analysis of qualitative and qualitative data.
4.
Justify appropriate data analysis methods based upon research design
5.
Demonstrate understanding of issues of consent and confidentiality when recruiting to and undertaking research in a clinical / care setting
