Aims
Establish foundational skills in stage combat.
Explore through workshops, a range of foundational techniques for devising and generating new work.
Give the students space to generate self-created work.
Introduce key technical, production, and creative roles for live theatre and performance.

Module Content
Outline Syllabus:
The module will be divided into the following sections:
Stage Combat - Students will be introduced to the foundational skills of Stage Combat.
Production Roles – Students will be given a short introduction to key production, creative and technical roles for live theatre and performance.
Creating New Work – Students will explore techniques for devising and generating new work.
Self-Created Work – with the skills attained during the module, students will be given space and time to make their own work.

Additional Information:
This module will equip the students with an understanding of the key roles required to stage a theatrical production. It will introduce foundational skills in creation of new work and give students structured time to experiment and start to find their creative voices. It will give students basic skills in stage combat for stage and screen. The Assessment will be via a presentation of selected elements of Stage Combat Technique.
